synopsis and sample, email ONLY. Should not have had reading in NYC. The reading
series is designed to offer playwrights a chance to see and hear their work
read out loud by professional actors. Each reading is directed and rehearsed
a number of times before being presented to an invited audience. In our
effort to assist writers, it is vital that you take an active part in the
development of your play. We encourage rewriting, and communication with your
director. Writer should be open to re-writes and available for development.,
as well as participate in a post-reading talkback with the audience. |

Playwrights
Online is a reading circle/workshop using Second Life, a FREE online
virtual world (http://secondlife.com/). Meets monthly, read through original
scripts written by members, and then give critique. Welcome actors to come
read! Playwrights Online meets on the
first Saturday of every month at 2pm, PST in Long Discussion House on
sLiterary, in Second Life(http://slurl.com/secondlife/sLiterary/26/72/26).
The goal of this group is to give playwrights and scriptwriters a place to
grow and evolve as writers. To take their first, second, or umpteenth draft
to that final draft that is ready for performance. The counterpart to our
Second Life group is a yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/playwrights_online/).
Playwrights that want to have their work read in circle should submit their
script through the yahoogroup. Script longer than 10 minutes/pages in
length will be scheduled to be read at a date independent of the monthly
meeting. If you have any questions, when in second life, just pop
"LadyBug Furse" a message. You can also email her at eturnq@yahoo.com. |
