GAP submissions will culminate in a two or three week festival of staged readings in the spring of 2008. The Global Age Project (The GAP) is an attempt to give playwrights and directors the opportunity to explore the current and future state of the global community and to create works that would inspire audiences to do the same.

Scripts can be any length but must be unproduced. All styles are welcome. Subject matter is expected to pertain to an aspect of the future state of the global community.

45-90 minutes; either long one-act or full-length play under 90 min. The world should be based in reality. No avant-garde material please. Simple sets and lighting with a minimum amount of scene changes. Contemporary material is preferred. Each actor can play one role only so please limit the size of the cast. Actors/Characters do not break the 4th wall (speak directly to the audience) and no large sections of uninterrupted exposition by any one character
